The other night the moon was so beautiful. It was like a small, wistful smile. The sky was every shade of blue imaginable, and the bright white of the smiling moon stood out against the background like a jewel. To complement it, a small diamond of a star hung just above the moon. The two, star and moon, in perfect harmony, not needing anyone or anything else in the blue fabric of sky. I wanted to lay down on the earth and stare and stare and that fastastic balance for a long time. A little while later, the sky darkened to night. More stars appeared. The moon and its faithful star weren't the only two bodies in the heavens any longer. But I'm sure they still felt the pull of each other's gravity, even surrounded by other objects.
You just described my pajamas! So /you're/ the one who's been sneaking into my closet when I'm away for work!
No, in all due seriousness, I liked your story. It had vivid imagery and your choice of descriptive words painted a picture with words so well that I could visualize everything you had to say. It was well-textured and you effectively transported me into your world.
