Mom had a small surgery today

So. I have a day off. My first day off since my father's and my own birthday celebration. Which wasn't really a celebration but more of a quite down-time interrupted by kids looking for candy. Today I woke up way earlier than I normally would because mom went in for surgery this morning. I don't know if I wrote about how her knee has been bothering ( Read more... )

*hug for your mom*

No shame in buying a walker. :/ I have seriously considered buying myself a cane for my low-blood-pressure days, and I'm not even 25 yet.

Also, we got your postcard! You have the most beautiful lake.

*hug back from my mom*

Yeah but mom got a walker before my grandma did which seems wrong somehow. Even though grandma probably has needed a walker or motorized scooter for a long while now but she just won't demean herself (her words/feelings apparently) and instead doesn't get out of the car if she goes somewhere or just stays in one seat all day long at home. *headdesk*

Yay! I do love that photograph of it.

I'm glad to hear your mom got out of surgery okay! And ugh, I would be more than slightly angry if the hospital people didn't tell me not to take medication that could interfere. Thank goodness she found out about it anyway.

My mom's had several surgeries by now and it's always scary, even if it's just minor. It's so weird to see your parents in the hospital. *hugs*

Also, uh, if you have woodpeckers pecking your house, that means there are insects in there. You might want to check that out.

Yeah, I told mom about the wood peckers and she said the same thing. Only heard them a couple times and no one else has since so I don't know. Maybe dad will get it checked out. Thought it was dad coming home without his keys originally, the tapping was so familiar.
