Okay all this is the last update of the week (please make sure you read all...4 or 5 of my new updates okay :) )...I have other things to be doing! But I wanted to do this last update since I took pictures especially for this purpose. So here we go...welcome to my new house!
So I will start with the main level and then go up.
First the two most important rooms besides my room:
And of course those two rooms would have to be the Kitchen and the family room/Huge TV room! Hehe...I love both of these rooms quite a bit. I like the kitchen because that is where we have breakfast and that is my favorite meal of the day. Yes I know I am slightly strange in my love of breakfast. But I especailly love breakfasts here because Eva makes/sets out breakfast every morning. So when I wake up I wander downstairs and eat my hard boiled egg and orange juice and finally my fruit, with yogurt and musil. Musil is like...hmm...a breakfast ceral type thing that is yummy on yogurt and Eva makes it home made and on the days that she makes a batch the smell is soooo unbelievably good. Anyways enough about breakfast!
The other room, HUGE TV room, is where we all sit down and watch movies together or when I have friends over for a movie night this is the room we invade. Now I know you can't see the huge TV but trust me it is there. Well actually it isn't even a normal TV it is a proxima and a screen. So when we watch TV it is like going to the movies! I love it!
Hmm oh look a picture of the breakfast table...sorry I couldn't resist! Normally there is more food on the table and plates and such but when I took this picture it was Eva's Birthday so we ate half of our breakfast upstairs. I won't get into the explanation of the Swedish Birthday Traditions just now. Hehe awww can you see the little yellow chicken egg warmers...so cute! hehe...
This next room is another sitting type room. When we have people over for dinner this is where everyone sits and chats and drinks their wine before we start dinner. And sometimes Louise and/or Eva sit here with their computers and work. I like to sit on the couch and curl up in the sun and read a book.
These are the last two rooms downstairs. The formal dining room and then the 'Music rooom.' Ville (William) plays the piano and the trumpet and Eva loves to sing and she also plays the guitar. Hehe...one of my favorite things is when Ville plays the trumpet. He can play the Pink Panther theme song. which is also my mobile phones ring tone, and every time I hear it I can't help but smile.
This room, the office, is on the first floor of the house. Eva works from home and is now in the process of opening a gym so she has been very busy with that. Eva and Peter's room is on this floor as well as Ville's room, a small bathroom, the laundry room and my huge bathroom. The laundry room and big bathroom are a recent addition to the house. The whole addition has actully just been completed after having carpenters in the house for a week and a half working on the Sauna and finishing all sorts of things. The bathroom is so nice now...it has a jacuzzi tub, shower and a sauna! So nice...and the jacuzzi tub has a radio so I can listen and sing while I am in the shower...lovely...hehe.
And finally we have the coolest room in the house...My Room!
Louise and I both have our rooms up in the attic...her's is exactly the same as mine but the flipped version and not blue...it is painted in yellows, oranges and reds...my perfect room honestly. Anyhoos...if I thought running up and down the stairs at home was bad you should see these stairs coming up to my room! I wanted to take a picture but none of them really did the stairs justice. And the good news is that I have only fallen once...and that was going down...they say falling up is always worse. And it seems that staircases in Sweden are always sprial staircases...similar to the one in Uncle Steve's condo in Calgary for those of you that have been there (hehe I have fallen down those ones too!).
So a little tour of my room...my bed, bedside table, chest of drawers...nothing much interesting there. Oh the window is really cute though...and see if you send me a card you will get up up on the window, however if you send a post card you get put up with the rest of the post cards on the wall above the bed...you can just see them in the picture if you look. Right now I have postcards from Estonia, Chile, Winnipeg, and Edmonton...quite a good collection so far.
Then for the other picture you have my desk and computer. This is where I spend the most of my time in my room...seated at the desk either on the computer, working on homework, or digging through the big pile of stuff that accumulates on my desk...as hard as I try to keep it clean! But of course I cleaned my room right before I took all these pictures :).
Bye Everyone!
