Have you been sewing for a long time or did you just start recently?

I'd love to take up something like knitting :)

Well... When I was a LITTLE girl - I sewed by hand - A LOT.I also did embroyidering(sp) and I did some knitting - not much - but some. I made all my doll clothes from tattered cloth and scraps and my mom and grandma sewed. I VAQUELY(sp?) remember sewing on a sewing machine - I think I watched people sew on one more than actually sewing on it -because when I bought my new sewing machine *pets it* I would have sworn you spin the bobbin by hand, you do this one way you do that another.... I thought my mom had a simplistic sewing machine and than come to find out she and my family all have Phaft - a nice sewing machine ( ... )
