A few of my favorite songs right now?
Almost heaven, West Virginia
Blue Ridge Mountains, Shenandoah River
Life is old there, older than the trees, younger than the mountains,
growin' like a breeze
Country Roads, take me home
to the place I belong
West Virginia, mountain momma
Take me home, country roads
All my memories,
gather 'round her
Miner's lady, stranger to blue water
Dark and dusty, painted on the sky,
Misty taste of moonshine, teardrop in my eye
Country Roads, take me home
to the place I belong
West Virginia, mountain momma
Take me home, Country Roads
I hear her voice, in the mornin' hours she calls me
The radio reminds me of my home far away
And drivin' down the road I get a feelin' I should have been home yesterday, yesterday
Country Roads, take me home, Country Roads
woke up at eight, started the fire
had a few drinks, we all felt inspired
jumped in the stream, our shoes and canteens
the water was bitter cold
laid in the raft till it started moving
the current just sang, the song was so soothing
we stopped along the way
on a beach, in the sun, on a beautiful day
our boats collide, we feel the breeze
we stay afloat and make the most of everything
by noon we had swung and ropes in the woods
missed all dangers, snakes and the floods
burned by the rays and next to our legs, the water so bitter cold
lunch had been saved along with the lighters
wet cigarettes serve us as reminders
never trust a man with food, change of clothes, and a drink in his hand
our boats collide, we feel the breeze
we stay afloat and make the most of everything
the sun will set, the stars would shine
the trees would shake, we'd all feel fine
let's take the moon and make it shine for everyone
we laughed away the sunburn
as we laughed away his day
what we lost means nothing
for the memories will stay
caught the last bus with no time to linger
driver seemed to be missing a finger
i turned and looked away to the bus, gravel road and a beautiful day
our boats collide, we feel the breeze
we stay afloat and make the most of everything
the sun will set, the stars would shine
the trees would shake, we'd all feel fine
let's take the moon and make it shine for everyone
let's take the moon and make it shine for everyone
When you're weary, feeling small,
When tears are in your eyes, I will dry them all;
I'm on your side. When times get rough
And friends just can't be found,
Like a bridge over troubled water
I will lay me down.
Like a bridge over troubled water
I will lay me down.
When you're down and out,
When you're on the street,
When evening falls so hard
I will comfort you.
I'll take your part.
When darkness comes
And pains is all around,
Like a bridge over troubled water
I will lay me down.
Like a bridge over troubled water
I will lay me down.
Sail on silvergirl,
Sail on by.
Your time has come to shine.
All your dreams are on their way.
See how they shine.
If you need a friend
I'm sailing right behind.
Like a bridge over troubled water
I will ease your mind.
Like a bridge over troubled water
I will ease your mind.
I want to kill this man
but he turned around ran.
I'll kill him with karate that i learned in japan.
He wouldn't see my face, i wouldn't leave a trace
I would'nt use a bullet cause i bullet's a discrace.
Aw, mom, i never though that i was a murdering man
but tonight i'm on my way.
There's this drawer that i know in a house up the road
that's full of things that are easily sold.
When they go out of town i could go and snoop around
and make myself rich off the things i'd found
aw, mom i never thought that i was a stealing man
but tonight i'm on my way.
I was sitting on the bleacher staring at the speaker,
reading his lips but i could not understand.
So i opened up my ears and clearly i could hear
this detailed story all about a grain of sand.
aw, mom i always dremt of being a good listener
so tonight i'm on my way.
There's this kid you gotta meet. He lives across the street.
He's got spirit and heart. We're 10 years apart.
He is up for anything. He can hang with anyone.
He still likes the things we used to think were fun.
aw, mom i never thought that i could have a friend
but tonight i'm on my way.
I'm in love with someone who's as pretty as a flower.
Her life gives me power so i'm buying her a ring
She makes hats with her hands.
she is such an artist.
I'm her biggest fan and i'm teaching her to sing.
aw, mom i never thought that i could love no one
but tonight i'm on my way.
oh, tonight
I'm on my way.
They've come to find you, Odalisque
As the light dies horribly
On a fire escape you walk
All rare and resolved to drop
And when they find you, Odalisque
They will rend you, terribly
Stitch from stitch 'til all
Your linen limbs will fall
Lazy lady had a baby girl
And a sweet it made
Raised on pradies, peanut shells and dirt
In a railroad cul-de-sac
And what do we do with ten baby shoes
A kit bag full of marbles and a broken billiard cue?
What do we do?
What do we do?
Fifteen stitches will mend those britches right
And them rip them down again
Sapling switches will rend those rags alright
What a sweet sound it makes
And what we do with ten dirty Jews
A thirty-ought full of rock salt and a warm afternoon?
What do we do?
What do we do?
Lay your belly under mine
Naked under me, under me
Such a filthy dimming shine
The way you kick and scream, kick and scream
And what do we with ten baby shoes
A kit bag full of marbles and broken billiard cue?
What do we do?
What do we do?
And this?
OVERVIEW: You've been carrying a secret around for some time now -- maybe even for months. It wasn't terribly oppressive to start with, but as the New Year begins, one of your resolutions will likely be to start fresh and let go of all emotional baggage, once and for all. Get it all out in the open by mid-January. At that point, an ex is extremely likely to call or email -- and not just to see how the cat's doing either. If you're attached now, you can expect to finally be able to make friends with that ex, even if just about everyone would have sworn it couldn't be done.
After all the clearing out you'll accomplish in early 2006, you'll be ready, willing and able to move on to more pleasant matters -- and more exciting ones too. Around mid-March, a lunar eclipse in your own sign will bring about a really big change in your love life. Not to worry: Given everything else that's on your astrological agenda, it can't help but be positive! In fact, no matter what you initiate at that time, you can expect it to bear fruit around the solar eclipse in late September. Oh, and if you're thinking about making some physical changes, plan to start a new diet or exercise program around either of those eclipses. These supercharged meetings of the Sun and Moon are famous for passing out energy, confidence and mega-determination. Invest that energy wisely, and you're pretty much guaranteed total and complete success -- mainly because you just won't stand for anything less.
When it comes to finances, things are looking good this year. Really good. Last year brought you luck and opportunities in that department, and you likely took advantage of it all. Of course, it took lots of hard work to make things happen -- but then, you've never been lazy, have you? As practical as you are, no one needed to remind you to stash a bit of last year's 'luck' away either. Now (with the possible exception of September and October, when you may be more prone to impulse-spending than usual) you can relax and enjoy the fruits of your labor. So if you want to go a bit overboard -- just a bit! -- or if there's someone in your life you'd really love to spoil, you won't have to worry about the bills this time around. Have a great year --you've certainly earned it all.
Sometimes I believe it, sometimes I don't. I don't know. Looking at horoscopes is always fun though... I suppose...
BAH! I am full of excitement for HONG KONG, you have no idea. Monica and I have been talking lately about it and what we're going to do, and BAH! I've just been jumping in excitement. It all sounds so amazing. Looking at temples, going shopping, going to the Hong Kong Disneyland, the harbor, and so much more. YAY! 3 buddies just spending time together for two weeks. I'm leaving at the beginning of July during the summer. It's so far away yet so close! 6 months more. And school ends in 5 months!
I talked to coach about running, and he said that if I trained hard and did what he planned for me, I could lower my 5K to around a 22:00. Which would be amazing... I don't know if that's really going to happen, even if I do train hard. But I really do want to improve, so we'll see.
Swimming meet today went okay. I think I got a PR, but then again I really have no idea what my PR for 50breaststroke is. But I need to work on my starts... because... well, I suck at them.
... I'd tell you about other things on my mind;
but I don't know how to explain them =(
