I wanted adventure...

I've been wanting to write here for days, but our circumstances change like the wind and I can't seem to get my bearings. I really love this space to write, not only for its therapeutic value, but also as documentation of our journey. I love going back an reading my birth stories on my kids birthdays, or sifting back through entries to settle a bet ( Read more... )

"Little by little...
inch by inch...
By the yard its hard,
By the inch, what a synch!

Never stare up the stairs,
just step-up the steps!
Little by little..
Inch by inch."

This is one of those "I learned it back in pre-kintergarden" songs. And it frustrates me to no end when I decide to sing it... in situations like these. I'm frustrated because its so damn true.

I know its hard to get knocked down. I've been getting knocked down repeatedly in this whole home selling/home buying process. I am immensely upset because, you know.. I had all of these grandiose plans.

But, life happens when you make plans.

Try not to stress about the big picture my love. Focus on tomorrow. Big pictures are very, very overwhelming.

And, you've got friends that love you so, and I have a really comfy shoulder to lean on.

little by little. :)

Sending love. So so so much love! <3 This sounds very similar to our experiences over the past two years. We jumped in but things didn't fall into place anywhere like expected. Our plans changed rapidly in the beginning, just trying to meet some basic needs. We had lots of great ideas. Rules and regulations ((often completely ridiculous) - and money (oh how I loathe it) - just kept getting in the way. And now everything's already changing again. It's crazy, and very hard at times. I think we're finally back on track, though. I hope you're able to find some direction in the madness as well!

Wow. I'm so sorry your plans got messed up by this guy. I have faith, though, that you and Jeff will find the best way through this. Good luck!
