I managed to lose my house keys yesterday so had to call a locksmith, which I don't recommend not because said locksmith wasn't a really nice guy (he was) but because it cost a load of money. Since he couldn't pick the lock, he had to drill it out and replace it. And I'd just picked up my car from its MOT and was rejoicing over the fact that it had

It's a bit late in the day, but have you got anywhere suitable outside the house to hide a key safe with a number pad? We got one for my mother-in-law, so that there'd be a way for carers/emergency services to access the house if necessary without smashing their way in.

Yep, that's in hand for the future though I need to get some keys cut to go in it first... I'd managed to never lose my house keys before, so I'm really annoyed at myself even before I think about the cost!
