Throughout this story, It's felt like Lukes had a heaviness about him...like he was carrying the weight of the world on his shoulder, but now that Reid pushed him a bit and he finally admitted that he's gay...that heaviness seems to be gone!

Love the talk between father and son in the barn. Loved that Holden knew what Luke was talking about and told him that he would always support him, no matter what (I just hope lily feels the same way)

AND thank you for the tease about the next chapter...you know I've been waiting for the NC-17 part of this story. (in all honesty...I actually forgot that it was going to be NC-17 at some point. This story is just that good that it would have been okay without it.)

Once again...I bow down to your greatness Ali!!!

Thank you so much (and again thank you for such a lovely prompt). Luke has been pulled in so many directions, mostly toward Reid, but not sure what to do with that, either.

Glad you liked the Holden/Luke convo. Their relationship (outside of Luke/Reid) was such a joy to write.

I promise we will get to the NC-17 and allthat that entails in the next 2 chapters. And I appreciate what you said is that it could not be NC-17 (but I wouldn't do that to all of you...)

Even though I was enjoying this story, I wasn't invested until this chapter. I guess that I didn't understand why Luke was so resistant. But I really like how you pulled in Kevin and Luke's drinking as trigger points from his past. It really gave me insight to Luke's behavior.

I also enjoyed how you brought in Max's surgery and Luke visiting Reid after his shower. It's always fun when the spirit of ATWT scenes are incorporated into fics.

He wasn’t sure exactly what he was supposed to say to Dr. Oliver, but a week away from the snark and the arguments and just looking at him was too much. I totally understand the idea of a week of not even "just looking at him was too much

I appreciate so much about what you said about your investment. I think I struggled the most with this chapter (outside of the NC-17 stuff later), b/c it was so important to me to get Luke right in this one and even Reid's reaction to Luke finally admitting what is happening with them.

Noah's surgery day was some incredible episodes and they mean so much to me, and yes I try to keep the essence of them as much as I can.

The last thing I thought about before I went to bed last night? We're going to have a new chapter of "Neither Rhyme Nor Reason" tomorrow morning! I get so happy on Tuesday and Saturday nights!

And this was most definitely worth the wait! Poor Luke - you can just FEEL his struggle. I had no idea that it was the drinking he was worried about, poor guy. I'm glad that Reid didn't give up.

I know now that Holden gets it. I'm hoping that he can have a good talk with Lily and they can handle this like supportive parents and let Luke know they are in his corner.
