She didn't answer him until she'd stripped off her jacket and taken a seat on the edge of the bed. "I'll survive on your demon liquor, but you'll have to make it up to me."

He uncapped the liquor and poured them each a double. The bottle went back on the floor and he raised his glass to her. "Here's to interesting people in unexpected places."

She took a sip of her drink before answering his question. "I'd like to see if you can wear me out." She licked her lips, grinning. "I'd like to see if you can leave me gasping for breath and begging for a few minutes rest."

"Oh, beautiful, I will, at the very least, do that. And you will enjoy every single moment of it, I am positive." Turning to face her, his drink held loosely in his hand, he reached up and touched her cheek.

Swallowing hard, she shifted toward his hand, twisting her hips. "Right. Cats purr. Got it." She licked her lips as she hooked her leg behind his neck and pulled his head back to her. "Anything else I need to know about what cats do?" Her voice was shaky, but much less shaky than she thought the situation warranted.
