In about three and a half hours (which is to say, at about 1:30am), we'll be embarking on our ascent of Adam's Peak (or Sri Padha, in Sinhala). That's a great tradition. I love walking or hiking by moonlight.

I'm sure I'll rave to you all about it at some later date! ... just in case there was any doubt, you were heard to say that ;->

When I went to the Universitat Catalana d'Estiu we climbed the Canigó at night. No bells or footprints at the top, but I saw the shadow of the mountain by moonlight on the way up, and when we got up just after dawn there was a shawm, and the quatre barres got unfurled, and there was an eagle in the distance...
