Mats just got brandspanking new tyres for the Audi at one HUGE tyre dealer. Cost about 3000 kronor - got them sorted ONTO the car an all that jazz. Pro stuff.
Know the car. Know the dimensions. Nuff said. GOOD LUCK trying to get them traded in. Shouldn't be too hard if you find the right place. !!! :-)
There is absolutely nothing wrong with the tyres, that's a whole different thing. The cental rim hole is the problem. The tyres are perfect and in great shape, the groove depth was surprisingly good. We need different rims, that's it. That's another thing.
Plus that 3 000 sek, was that with rims included or just the rubber? New light metal rims alone cost 700 sek each. :P
Oh the joys of car parts. You should try buses, similar ones have differnet fittings and all sorts of little variations. That we know of there are about eight seat types just on the ones we have alone!
You might be able to get the rims swapped as you say at the store. Take either the car or the vehicle details (chassis number, registration number etc along). That should help identify the correct ones. There might also be a part number on the ones you have already, get the bear to have a look on the insides, since they are normally hidden away if they are there.
EDIT: Although as Muffin is being a bit naughty, why don't you spankx him?
I do sympathise. It reminds me of the time I booked a ferry across the English Channel... in the wrong direction. So I hope you'll forgive me if I giggle a little.
Who knows, perhaps you'll end up offering another commission? *innocent wag*

That was for the new rubber only - new innerhose etc. - but now it feels like four completely new tyres yet with the same rims!

I'm having so much fun with your commission so another one is definitely possible if you're interested. :)
