Here are some random things which have been occupying my time:

My super Aunt Kathy passed away last week, and we drove to ONONdaga County to attend her memorial service. I was glad to be there for my family, and it was a nice service. An Irish style remembrance of all things which made her awesome with a great vegetarian buffet from a local ( Read more... )

The car thing is awesome. Rentals are so pricey, I wouldn't have expected the numbers to work. I suppose, even a five day trip each month would be under car+insurance, esp. in Boston.

I debated between Air and Pro. I went with Pro. I've had no regrets.

Turns out that rentals are often cheaper on the weekends, and thats when most of our trips are.. For instance, I picked up the car on Saturday morning for the trip to Syracuse and returned it before the opened on Monday and even with their Collision insurance the total rental was under $100..

Wow... I've always pricelined rentals... and I've always been locked into times based on my flights. But, I've never gotten away from the rental desk for under $100, even for a weekend wedding trip, with priceline, and my own insurance.

Actually, maybe I'm wrong here. I know I paid more than $100 for a wedding in Canada where I only had the car for two days. But, Tad's wedding in Massachusetts... I think I managed to priceline down to $18/day for three days. The guy at the rental place was pissed... especially since he was all out of his economy cars.
