Is there potential for a poll - Campbell Award, or Eye of Argon?

And sadly, until the alarming revelations of motivation, the probe was the most well-drawn character.

I enjoyed the Sam Gunn books when I was much much younger, but I suspect that I wouldn't enjoy them now for the same reason that I found I couldn't re-read the Hugh Waters books.
