What is with all these Spam Comments?

Starting to feel like I'm being targeted here.

For about the last 2-3 weeks I have had an old post in my blog recieve one or two bogus comments per day advertising some bogus product or fishing. And now another post I've made has had its first comment.

Has anyone else had problems with this kind of Spam comments?

Yeah, I've been getting more over the last few months. I think that's why so many people have moved to dream width. I know enough people to get you an invite if you like. I'm considering moving to something like wordpress

I have a surplus of DW invites, if anyone wants.

I get the odd bit of spam- maybe once or twice a year. I deal with it by deleting the comment and blocking the user.

I tend to be more worried about the complete randoms I sometimes get friending me... some of them turn out to be awesome, but there's a lot of creeps out there too :/
