You won't be spending much time in New Bark Town, since there's really not much there. In fact, I left the day I got there. Cherrygrove's nice, though. It's not that big, and it's got a beach.
Most of the towns are nice, come to think of it. There's a lot of travel time between towns, since there aren't any cars. You get a lot of time to try to catch more Pokémon, though. And train the ones you have, too.
