So my car took a shit. I mean, the thing was just taken to the mechanic on February to get a fuel system tune up and replace a sticky valve. Now the thing won't turn over. Maybe it's time to change mechanics, some mechanics actually do make your car worse by screwing around with it or not placing the parts back the way it's supposed to be. It happened to me so often, that my dad just got pissed off and refused to have me go to a mechanic unless he's tried them out before, which is sort of funny, since I can't even go to a place to get the oil changed unless he agrees to it...

man...sorry to hear that your car is giving you crap. i can see why you're frustrated.

i agree with eijishinrow, that perhaps try a different mechanic and see if anything changes with that. either go by recommendations of your family, friends, or angie's list (but you still gotta make sure that it looks good on there and that they just didn't pump up their ratings themselves or something).

cutting down on driving isn't a bad thing, but it would be hard in columbus which is mainly a car commuter town. i say do what you can without a car but then if you're too inconvenienced without using the car than it wouldn't be worth giving it up for that particular task whatever it may be.
