Yesterday was a really good day! Robin and I met up with Caren who took us on a tour of downtown (uptown?) Charlotte. MAN! They've built some STUFF since I was last there. Where is that bakery? Oh, never mind. I bet I could search online and find it. Too bad I gotta work on Saturdays. I woulda liked going with y'all. What's the name of the soul-food place? And ya know, I've never been real clear on what the difference is between soul food and plain ole county cookin'. I think there's a LOT of overlap there.

How 'bout I just bring the saw over to your place, and cut the lumber there? Sounds like the easier way to deal with that.

Initially we were going to plan it for Sunday so you could go too, but Lo's messed Caren around with the delivery of her washing machine to where they are delivering it today instead. That place is on N. Davidson between McGill's Rose Garden and the actual NoDa hub in a little non-descript strip mall. I remember Caren said they had a website.

It would be great is you could cut the piece over here! I was trying to make it as easy as possible for you so as not to mess up anymore of your time off than need be.

I am always happy to take people uptown. I have done it so many times, that I feel very comfortable doing this, and enjoy showing off the town. I'm so glad you enjoyed it. We have to go back to McGill when things are blooming and I never ever just drive past Amelie's--I always have to stop in if I am near.
