I looked out over the back gate last night calling the cats and WOW! Little did I know what surprises were waiting there in my back yard! The tiny peach plant someone gave me in a 5-gal. bucket about 7 years ago, and I planted in the back yard (it's about 5' tall now) is in full bloom, LOTS of blooms! That's easy! Buy my house! I have plum, peach and fig with 2 pineapple guavas ready for planting back there. I'm putting all of it in the farthest, most useless corner of the yard, sort of creating a fruit orchard in one otherwise useless corner. And most of it blooms too!

The goal is to one day have no grass to mow back in that area, slowly but surely shrinking the mowing area in the back while increasing the privacy screen and productivity for that part of the yard. And if the birds and squirrels get fat bellies from the 'fruit cafeteria,' great! I'm quite willing to share.
