So you've got your horse names, but you've no idea what they actually mean in terms of the race. gilpin25's Guide To The Favourites will be up later, but for now, here are the latest odds, so you can see where your horses sit in the field according to the bookies.

let's head over to John McCririck )

You mean I got the number one pick? Cool. Of course, I'm sure to lose the actual race now. That is just my kind of luck.

I'm in the swing of things now. I grabbed one of the icons. This one appeals to my sense of humor. Great job, ladybracknell.

Ta!

I'm not sure what the statistics are about front runners actually winning the thing. The one thing you do have on your side is that obviously I'm not backing your horse - which is always the sure-fire kiss of death.... ;)

Oooh...I like my odds. The first picks always scare me a bit to bet on, plus you could actually make some dough on a 20/1 shot.

And hey, a five buck ticket on a 100/1 shot...I'll take it!

I think I am going to call my horse Monkey. I like monkeys.

Midfielders do tend to do well in The National. The one year I came closest to winning a sweepstake (my horse went on to fall and the second to last fence, I think, but we don't like to talk about that), he was a mid-fielder.
