What a race!

Total farce at the start, took them three or four attempts to get away - then they all set off like rockets. 40 started, only 13 finished, nearly all the favourites fell, nail-biting finish.

What an excellent surprise to wake up to! I always knew my Phil (that's what I call 'em when we're alone) would come through and now I'm off to send him a bouquet of tasty flowers and some fine oats.

I had the radio on a few minutes ago and they were attempting to interview Philson Run's owners - they were hysterical with joy. Methinks they had a few quid on at 100-1! They did manage to say the horse is fine and having a nice hose down after his gallant efforts for you.

Well done! I think my horse was too intelligent as he refused, lol.
