This is Twenty Faces. I am quite disappointed in many of you. You uncritically accept the mayor's lies and kill at his command. These are not the actions of adults ( Read more... )

[Garviel can be seen. Normal sized, unarmored Garviel. Moving from place to place. Occasionally checking in on people. Yes he looks like a warrior born, and he's heavily armed, even in his unenhanced body, but there's no overt aggression in it. He stops by the church once, and has a brief meeting with someone else outside, though no violence comes of it, only a brief touch of the shoulder, and a parting.]

[If Chizuko watches he goes back to a shed eventually, somewhere not his own house. Regardless, he doesn't engage, seemingly relying entirely on stealth tactics to deal with the situation. He is clearly unaware he is being watched.]

[Chizuko follows as close as she can to his clandestine meetings. She perches nearby. Will he emerge from the shed with blood on his armor?]

[Far from it! He actually camps out there with a rifle, and others can be seen entering. At one point during the day he leaves there in his Waiter's uniform and then comes back, none the worse for wear but still moving rather stealthily for such a big brute.]

[Walking around the corner in the library Elizabeth blinks, seeing her target and sighing. To fall for this game would be to fall to Erebus, no, that is not her goal.]

"Miss... Do you have someone to act as a bodyguard?"

[Chizuko looks up from her books with a confident smile.]

Thank you, but I don't need one.

I do not see why your disappointment should matter.

It matters because most of us fancy ourselves humans, not trained dogs who kill on command. Does that matter to you?

I'm not human, so your speech hardly applies.

Then what are you and what are the differences between that and a human?
