Even so your actions do not make anything better, and the punishment isn't appropriate. Also do you know the full reason some of them killed? Do you know the full weight of the sin they committed?

Despite the fact that they are deserving of a punishment simply deciding on what it should be yourself is not fair and thus not appropriate.
