Visiting Farms

Harvest time is here (sort of), so my sister and I spent Saturday visting some local farms with her grandson, Elijah.

Nothing like shucking some corn to make you feel as if you could relate to sturdy pioneers...Right up until you put into the microwave to cook.

Cute! We spent yesterday communing with nature as well, picking tomatoes in a large community garden. Now we have tomatoes, cukes, squash and zucchini coming out of our ears.

Yummy, right? We managed a haul of sweet corn, tomoatoes, cukes,and apples. I love home grown tomatoes
