“We'll be impossible to be around, you realize that. Everyone will be able to tell how much we just wanna' fuck each other.” “And they'll be jealous as hell. So what. Let 'em get their own cowboy.” Damn right! Whee, I love it! :)
“How come you always know just the right thing to say?” “I think us sharing the same brain, might have something to do with it...” Just like Kid, Jed knows how to get to the heart of the matter *nodnod*
I wanted to be a better man...for him. I've heard him tell it the other way around, but I can't believe that's true. Though, to be fair, The Kid never lied to me. So, maybe he just didn't know any better. The Kid and I realized how much we meant to each other while we still had plenty of life ahead of us. We had a great ride. Together. The letter brought tears to my eyes, Robin. *looks for kleenex and goes to the next part*
I liked portraying them comfortable enough to tease with each other. And really wanted to maintain their natural masculanity, even in their speech. But still have them be gentle with each other.
I promise there are no more teary parts. Figured I mitigated the sadness of the death with the knowledge that they spent many happy years together.
They were good tears, sweetie; sorry, I should have said. Just wanted you to know how much that touched me. Few fics mist me up (hard-boiled, remember?), but this did. *smishes you*

I wish this story was much, much longer. Going on to read the last chapter.
