Wow. This morning I woke up and had a smile on my face because yesterday was one of the greatest days I'd had in a while. Maybe even in this year. (Then I had a four-second pout because I woke up at 7:50, but that's beside the point)
A botched hair appointment at 10 led me to redo a $50+ cut completely on my own, as the hairdresser who changed my life left the salon and is getting involved with Bravo. Or something equally as fab-sounding. Christine and I scouted places as backdrops for her friend's band's photoshoot she is doing [and I am advising! (I also hope I am not cb-ing anything, so I will ask and confirm :)].
My stomach is growling so I'm going to eat some breakfast.
Stopped by 52.5, parking was free and there was no need to parallel! On the way back, a white truck shaped like a slice of swiss cheese on its base passed us; this was taken as a sign to head over to PetSmart in Summerville to see how much keeping a mouse would set us back (about $50). Sister wants to buy a mouse and name him Fitzwilliam, and I want either a mouse or hamster to name Kevin.
While we were there, we decided to see a movie since it was not ideal shopping weather- I glanced out the window just now and the sun is out! After careful deliberation: Night at the Museum first, then lunch, and Eragon afterwards. Being the little girls we are, this made us giggle with happiness, because we had always alluded to how funny it would be to see two movies back-to-back at the theater. So, yes! Night at the Museum with a bunch of annoying kids, me wanting to walk out, and :o faces because Christine was supposed to take her driving test later that afternoon. After NatM.. she made the phone call to dad, both of us scared about getting yelled at, but then she got the OK to take the test on Tuesday. Whee, PetSmart for the mouse check, Zax Zalad and fries for lunch, and back to the theater for cute boy, Eragon.
Since I was on a roll with the haircuts, I did Christine's once we got home, and Melissa called me about a ride to Becca's party. We planned to stay only for a bit to say hello and catch up, but had ended up being the last ones there and helping her clean up! It was nice. The party was a good time, and it had really been too long since I'd seen everyone.
I was still giddy from the get-together when I got home, even more so because I was still up to see Jay on tv. It was probably one of the best shows to wrap up such a great day, I really couldn't believe my ears during the announcements. There was Jaywalking, Dustin Hoffman, and Abby Breslin- could it be any more perfect? African Children's Choir was special because it made me think of
What is the What.
Now I'm tired. Have to go to a grad party later and maybe do Jess's hair! I am nervous. Then shopping. It's been so warm outside it's hard for me to really get into the holidays. I've only bought one gift for one person (my mom) so far. Since I work FT now, one of my goals is not to make my Christmas presents mediocre this year. We will see.
Love you guys.
