CHK sunk back down onto her chair as gracefully as a tight leather tea dress and a belly full of champagne would let her. She really didn't know quite what a high tea was or how she was supposed to behave but that had never stopped her before ( ... )

I would imagine that sightseeing by broom would be very popular almost everywhere. And it would be very easy to lose track of time. Perhaps fasting before a 'cream tea' is a smart thing to do.

Tea dresses were worn with what we'd call Cuban heels. That way they could dance at the Tea Dances. The very high ones for the party gusts were only because Moonette has five inch stilettos surgically implanted.
