Thank you to St Margarets and those who joined her

The ever gracious stmargarets surprised me today with a written version of Molly Weasley's pendant that warms up when people are thinking loving thoughts about her. She even found a picture of a bear in a heart to represent what my magical pendant would look like. Dear Oatmeal collects bears so they are now a part of my life ( Read more... )

No need for thanks. I wanted to do something to mark your achievement. Unfortunately Ros isn't around this week to design a cool community so I just decided to wing it.

Have we ever had a party in your honor? I think that should be next on the agenda. *Hugs*

And if there is any one on your flist who would like to add to your pendant, I'm issuing an open invitation to comment on my journal. The more the merrier!

This was such a nice surprise. The final chapter of the stories from Molly POV was finished months ago so I have been busy cleaning closets and putting photos on the cork boards in the hall between dear Oatmeal's cave and my study. I had a wall of family pictures in the family room of the big house on the Stanford campus and in the upstairs hall in the duplex I shared with Duffy and his family. Unfortunately, the carefully packed 'good pictures' are still buried out in the garage somewhere (in a box labeled 'good pictures'). So I have been going through the boxes of 'not so good pictures' and choosing the best of the rejects for the six picture boards. I've started on the three 'family and friends' ones because the three for the families of my two daughters and Duffy are easy.

Moonette threw a party for Sandy and me (the Tuscany ghost one) that lasted so long it got to be Amy's birthday before it literally gave up the ghost.

Thank you for thinking about me and then doing something that pleased me very much.

Oh wow - I missed being able to respond to your pendant post yesterday due to having a sick child who sucked up all my attention/time until I fell into bed last night. I'm so sorry. What a truly wonderful accomplishment. You should be so proud.

What I want to know now is what is next on your writing agenda. You have me concerned with your comment above that you're "finished with that phase" You don't mean you're going to stop writing, do you? I hope not.

Congratulations on completing your story.

Thank you Annette. You have such a busy life that I am honored that you posted. I hope your daughter is better today.

I'm the one in our family who goes out into the shops and am wearing those disposable plastic examining gloves rather than touch surfaces or use pens that are in public. I'm allergic to eggs so can't get flu shots.

I am not a writer even thought I write every day. I'm a long time journal keeper and write a daily family blog. I have a Big Eight Zero coming up on Thanksgiving Twenty-ten so may try to finish my life story. I'm no Sarah Palin with a big book contract but have enough relatives that I may even get a few copies printed.

I also missed St. Margaret's post and the pendant this week. What a lovely idea! I want to add my congratulations. Seven novel-length stories is quite an accomplishment, but then you're a pretty amazing lady.

I hope you'll continue writing. That memoire sounds great. From the interesting snippets you've shared about your life, I'll bet it would be fascinating.

Thank you for taking the the time to write a note to me. I wanted to try writing fiction after a lifetime of doing what amounted to technical writing. I'm not the writer that many of those on my flist are, but it has been an adventure. My husband needs more of my time and attention but I am an early riser and he is a late one, so I still have time to write.

I've had a good and interesting life so writing about it for my children, grandchildren, and the eventual generations to come seems like a good idea.
