Okay, I really hate this whole OH MY GOD, IM POOR, RIPPED JEANS THING. I sincerely feel that you have to either earn that worn in look with clothes over time, or do it yourself

see, it's funny. You've got it like 99% right. Except you missed the craziest thing of all. These companies (BananaCrombie, AberGap and Fitch..etc) PAY money to have these "washes" done. You see, it works like this (transition like a flashback in family guy while the screen begins to illustrate whatever story I'm telling) There's 2-3 companies worldwide that specific fuck jeans up, for money. For the "wash" over the pockets.. they use Italian-made washing machines , costing upwards fo $50,000, and literally "stone" wash them,, they throw rocks and jeans into the same machine and toss them around for a bit. The tearing is done by hand. THe crazy thing, is that companies (such as the aforementioned) pay between $5-80 PER PAIR OF JEANS to have this done to them. So you're not really buying something a pleasant little working 8 year-old in Singapore made.. you're purchasing something that cute little kid made and a company in California DESTROYED for money (hence the name of those abercrombie jeans.. "destroyed"... they're even admitting
