The reason children are much better at learning new things (such as music and language) than adults is because they don't go, "but that doesn't make sense" or "that rule is completely arbitrary and/or extremely inefficient" or "WHY IN GOD'S NAME IS IT DONE THIS WAY

...that reminds me of a children's book I saw at Star Clippers about dog poo. Freaking funny as hell with a heartwarming message that even a turd is important to the cosmos.
