I have discovered an old picture of me taken and used for promotion when I was booking in Florida in 1966. There are some fond memories there. This has been taken from a B&W wallet size, so quality isn't the greatest.

Initially, my trio did a take-off on the Kingston Trio. It was a quick and easy to copy some of their stuff. Nick played a tenor guitar in the original group. Yes, the picture turned out to be very flattering.

Oh that is super!!!

Funny thing...I have been going through old family albums in the hopes of putting together something cohesive to give to the children (and their children)...so have been seeing the pics of us when we were younger....

but I ask you....when did we begin looking like "us ??

Fine wine, favorite old chairs. The cardigan that is always handy. It is sort of like having a 'soft focus' portrait, as we mellow with age.
I picked up a high school album from 1950 last night. What memories. Musing brings to mind a line from the verse I posted earlier:
"Well, my ‘get up and go’ has got up and went.
But I really don’t mind when I think with a grin,
Of all the grand places my ‘get up’ has bin."

It was! I was mid-20's then. We would book a show for Friday or Saturday nite that would earn enough for us to rent a car, pay for a motel for the weekend and all other expenses for 4 (I trained a manager) of us. And, of course, we met girls! OH MY! the groupies! ^_^

Wow! You look great (you still do)
I bet you have very interesting adventures to tell.
Any chance of you playing any musical gigs now?

Thank you!
My last gig was at a company function while I was still working, about 1999. I have no plans to do any public performance. I am trying to record some of my stuff for the children and grandchildren. I posted one recording in my LJ. I will do others.
