Back from Italy. It was a good experience. I suppose the trip is worthy of an entire post.

Sounds pretty cool. So tell me, do they have giant parking garages on the ouskirts of Venice for tourists to leave their cars while they stay in Venice? How does that work?

They do have parking outside of Venice, from what I understand. We didn't really deal with that, though. Since we had simply rented a car, we returned that at the airport outside of Venice then took a water taxi in. Then to get to Milan, we took a train rather than rent another car.

There's no longer a glass industry in Venice?
Horribile!

Oh yeah, there's that too. Slipped my mind. I suppose I was more impressed by the string of industrial factories for vinyl than I was by the Murano glass shops.

Anyways, one might argue that the glass industry is, to some degree, part of the tourist industry anyways.

Venice is awesome and beautiful. I don't remember much since I went there a long time ago, but I remember it being really cool. My favorite part was La Fenice, which is not as big but just as cool as La Scala (in my purely unbiased opinion, of course :P).
