Possession Info Post
One of Mukuro's powers gives him the ability to possess anyone that he cuts with his trident. While possessing these bodies, he can use their special abilities. When he came to Adstringendum, Mukuro left behind almost everyone who's bodies he can possess. So he's on the lookout for people with strong or unique abilities!
Here's some basic info about this power:
- All it takes is a prick from his trident, enough to draw blood. This creates a connection between himself and the person he's cut, allowing him to enter their body and use it as he wishes.
- While there's no canon evidence that this connection can be severed, if you think something would be able to do it, let me know!
- There's also no canon evidence that people can resist Mukuro's possession, but again, if you think your character would be able to for some reason, let me know. Just because these things don't happen in Reborn canon doesn't mean they're impossible!
- I'm gonna say it's probably impossible for him to possess someone that's already being possessed, like an angel's vessel or something like that. Aaand it would probably be pretty unpleasant for him to try.
- When possessing someone's body, Mukuro can use any special abilities that they might have. It's vague about how far this extends, so I'll be assuming that any physical/instinctive abilities will work perfectly, while any ability that requires specialized knowledge is still useable but won't work as well as it does for the real owner of the body - unless Mukuro ends up possessing them a lot/for a long time, then he'll eventually get the hang of it.
- Mukuro doesn't feel pain when possessing a body (headcanon corollary: he also doesn't feel pleasure, so he's not going to run off with your character's body to do dirty things). He can use a body until it's literally too broken to move, pain itself won't stop him.
- He can possess multiple people at once - there's no stated limit on this, but the more he possesses the harder it'll be to coordinate them all at once.
- When possessing other people, Mukuro's actual body is unconscious.
- Also, when Mukuro possesses someone, they essentially go unconscious as well. They won't remember what happened unless he lets them - it's just like blacking out.
- Mukuro refers to the act of cutting someone and being able to possess their body as 'making a contract'. Obviously this is not an actual contract, lol what is consent. But that's what he'll call it... just so you know.

Essentially, what I'm looking for is anyone who wants Mukuro to be interested in their character, and also anyone who wants Mukuro to 'make a contract' with their character/be able to possess them. Mukuro will only be interested in people who are strong or useful in some way. This is kind of a defense mechanism/security measure for him - he doesn't feel safe in Adstringendum without a few bodies to possess and throw at whatever enemies might come his way.
I also want to stress that I will never do anything without mun approval. As of now, I have no plans or plots for Mukuro to use the people he can possess at all. Like I said, it's more a defense mechanism than anything else - it would be OOC for Mukuro not to be keeping an eye out for strong people to possess.
That doesn't mean there'll never be a plot involving this stuff, and I am MORE than happy to listen to anyone else's plot ideas! It just means that I have nothing in mind for now, and won't ever do anything without mun approval. For the moment, this is really nothing more than a way to create CR with Mukuro, if you're interested in that! He will keep an eye on anyone he makes a contract with. Oh, and he probably won't tell them what's going on, so they can be all 'wtf why did you stab me, dude, that's not cool'.
If Mukuro realizes your character has some cool power in the process of talking to them, he'll be interested no matter what, but he's not going to cut anyone without full mun approval. This post is really something for me to direct people to as a simple explanation of his powers, and for anyone who actively WANTS this kind of CR with Mukuro to drop me a comment in so we can plot.
