If you're really trying to upset people, death is good, but pain is better. I would show them images of people they care about in pain, being tortured, with no way to save them or end the pain. Or I would give them something they wanted, but twist it - turn it to ashes before the end.
[He shakes his head.]
Or perhaps that's just what I'd like to do right now.
