Sacrifices are done to appease Pagan gods who require them. As there seem to be none here, this would be of little use.

Aren't the Animus a little bit like pagan gods? They might like it.

If they were Pagan gods they'd be simpler to kill.

And I don't feel particularly inclined to appease them.

Do you often go around killing gods where you're from? That seems a little extreme.

That's revolting. How can you even joke about such a thing?

Oh, why would you think I'm joking?

Because if you're not, you're a very deranged individual.

Haven't you met quite a few deranged individuals since being brought here?

Worth a try!

[He snorts.] So how many suggestions have you had so far?

Only a few. Strangely, people don't seem that fond of the idea.

[Tragic! Just look at the sad face over here.]

I can't imagine why not. Warm weather and a party: what's not to like?

Really, you'd think the people here hated fun. If it's a burnt sacrifice, we can even use the fire for a barbecue afterwards.

And just what kind of primitive culture are you from?

I did say I was reviving an old tradition, didn't I? Not that we Italians can't be somewhat primitive at times, of course.

Ah, I can think of an Italian fucker that thought something like human sacrifice was a good idea.

...But either way, you're fucking delusional if you honestly think you're going to accomplish anything.

Can you? How nice to hear of another creative countryman.

Oh, and who's to say I won't? The rules are different here, after all. You never know what might work.

Because the alternative is even worse to consider.

You mean the alternative that someone in this city is trying to make sure the sun comes back? That doesn't seem so terrible to me.
