Regardless of marital status, I think almost anyone can relate to this post. We've all had/have friends that have let us down. Recently I posted about a similar type of thing. I've got one in particular that has simply stopped speaking to me for the last 6 months, for whatever her reasoning may be. I have no idea what happened, but I've accepted the fact that some people are "long term" friends and others are "short term" friends. Meaning, some people come into our lives and stay true to us for a lifetime (through thick and thin, sickness and health, richer or poorer, kinda like a spouse). Other times we seek out people who can provide us with something that we are missing in our lives at that particular point in time, and then we drift apart for one reason or another.
Be grateful for the good times that you shared with Nick over the years, and don't put too much pressure on the friendship.
you know its hard to face that fact that people you think are your good friends or your long term friends as you put it.. would even entertain the thought of dicking you over... and sure he is still coming to my wedding.. but thats not really the point.. i guess i just thought he was a better friend then he really is. i just think that i made a bone headed decision when choosing my groomsman.. the only i really had a choice of... i knew my dad was going to be my best man.. and i knew andrew (jen's brother) was going to be a groomsman.. i probably should have just asked Chris from the start.. he has been a great friend to jen and i both.. he is melanies husband.. you have met him i am sure.. just a great guy and a friend.. oh well.. see you in a couple of days
i am over it... and there is nothing that could make this wedding miserable for me... other than jen not coming...but we all know thats not goign to happen... later
