Quite a few times in the past I've set an unrealistic goal for myself in the coming new year to read the Bible. Well, this year I'm trying to set a more realistic goal. I want to read the New Testament this year. Perhaps next year I'll tackle the old testament

"Not as dead as you look, I hope?" said the voice, coming nearer. I arched upward with an inarticulate sound as exquisitely sensitive tissues were firmly parted in a fresh assault.
"Jesus Christ," I said. There was a faint chuckle near my ear.
"I only said I felt like God, Sassenach," he murmured. "I never said I was."

Ok, I know that's a reach but dang, I love me some Jamie Fraser...wha...huh...oh yeah I was gone there for a second. What I was wondering was, what type of Bible are you considering? King James (probably), Women's, Student, Study? I might be tempted to go along on this adventure...I've never read the whole Bible myself. Believe it or not, my Dad has.

I have the New Living Translation which I just adore. I've only had it for a few months, but from what I've read it's like reading a novel. And we all know that's right up my alley.
I'm also planning on reading (probably after Voyager) a non-fic book called The Good Book by Peter Gomes. It shows how the bible is often used as a tool for division and exclusion and how to look at the Bible in a different way. Also right up my alley.
So, here is the first week's worth of reading if you decide to join (and please don't feel that you have to):
Jan 1: John 1:1-34
Jan 2: John 1:35-51
Jan 3: John 2
Jan 4: John 3
Jan 5: John 4:1-42
Jan 6/7: John 4:43-5:16

Ok, off that subject because I cannot mix those thoughts with Matthew, Mark, Luke and John. The gospel according to Jamie is good but I can't focus on both. LOL ;p
Love!

Thank you for taking the time to hear me out and perhaps we can agree to something which will give us both a win-win.
Be Blessed!
