She struggled against the ropes binding her. Her chest heaved, her breasts rising above her corset; she glared at the men eyeing her.
"You have to believe me. He's no pirate. He was just in the wrong place-"
"Miss Granger, you will learn how to hold your tongue if it's the last thing you do. There is no mercy for those consorting with pirates."
"But-"
"Save your breath for when you go before the Governor."
Captain Douglas turned his back on her pleas.
Hermione ceased struggling but refused to give up hope. They would never find Captain Severus Snape.
It was dark and quiet. Two men watched over their charge as the ship made its way through the smooth waters.
Hermione's head fell against her chest as she dozed.
Suddenly, a man's hand was upon her mouth and she was wide awake. She felt him cutting the ropes and looked through the dark to the two dead men slumped upon the deck of the ship.
"Come with me." He hoisted Hermione onto a rope and sailed across to his ship.
When they landed, Hermione threw her arms around her thief. "You are a pirate, Severus."
"Mmph." When Hermione landed, she threw her arms around her thief. "You are a pirate, Severus."
Severus focused one eye upon Hermione, whose arms and legs were wrapped around him.
"What gives you that impression?"
"You stole me from right under their noses! You're so heroic." She planted a sloppy kiss upon his cheek.
Severus chuckled and held her closer. Soon her breath deepened and her grip relaxed.
Though he was unsure of exactly the course her dreams were taking, he thought he rather liked the title of pirate.
Severus fell asleep dreaming of the sea, Hermione by his side.
