I had not forgotten- just with the Cosplay Ball, Xmas, and New Year I didn't think it was a good time to work things out.
Basic plan was to have a big ol' group holiday in the Lake District, so friends can get together away from the stresses of work, recruitment drives, event drama, etc. It's the kind of thing that often gets bandied about and procrastination tends to set in after about 5 minutes. I'm guilty of this too!
Just to be clear- I'm not 'running' the holiday or some such. I'm going to go and I hope to be surrounded by my friends and have a great holiday relaxing with people. A date and a location will be set, and we're all big enough and ugly enough to find suitable accomodation and group up if expense is a concern- I'll help if needed with finding places or coordinating groups. Some people might prefer a hotel or B&B, some people may want a self catered cottage, whatever. Ideally we'll all end up within walking distance of eachother.
I'm not going to tell people what to do either- I intend to get out and remember what the sky looks like and have adventures, but can imagine that some people may prefer to shop, sunbathe, swim, or nurse hangovers. Its all good.

18-20th June
I may do an extra day either side, but that is the core weekend.
It is not close to an event (May Bank holiday was considered but its close to exams, people may already have plans, and between Minami and Expo) and it should be summer, but the school holidays won't have started. Could move it back to 25th-27th if there's some reason this weekend isn't good, but please say now as I'd like to fix it in place shortly.
I'm thinking Keswick area if that's okay?
I've never been so happy to take suggestions, only other place I'm aware of is Windermere.
Here's some links for accomodation finders, but other people *cough Paul or Tom cough* may know or have connections who know where is recommended.

I'm tempted by Windermere Lake Cruises and climbing Scafell Pyke, and someone has subtly pointed me at www.mobileadventure.co.uk as well...
Please comment, or ring me, or email me, or throw a brick through me window with a note tied to it. If you unsure whether or not I'd want to see you there, slap yourself.
