Saw Sherlock Holmes last night, still need to see Avatar. Not much of a cinema person usually, but found Holmes to be quite the enjoyable romp. It was entertainment not art, if you know what I mean, and a few liberties were taken with the source material but I found the characters likeable and engaging, the plot well paced, and the dialogue sound ( Read more... )

I really enjoyed Sherlock Holmes, though the way they played Sherlock and Watson really reminded me of the Sir Digby Chicken Caesar sketches by Mitchell and Webb.

Ah yes, Holmes was great.

While I enjoyed Avatar, and the epic moments it had. Holmes was just all out great, plus its so set-up to get a sequel.

I'm not sure setting yourself up for a sequel is a laudable quality, but it was worth watching.

I admit I was surprised the film ended with Watson actually moving out. I expected her to move in.
