Something in my brain wants to go to Ikea. I dreamed about it two nights in a row. How weird is that? but I can't go this weekend.

John C Campbell Folk School in Brasstown, NC (folkschool.org) is going to be my post-graduation summer destination. I have decided to apply for work study for 6 to 9 weeks. It will mean missing all the camping events and fiber shows, but that's ok. Sometimes you just have to jump out of your routine, give up the known for the unknown. April did it ( Read more... )

weee! Straight A's this semester! Go me! My accumulative GPA is now a 3.88 since I got Bs my first year and now have been working 0.01 at a time to bring it back up. How can 1 or 2 B's drag you down so fast but 4 semesters of straight A's does hardly anything to bring you up? meh. The sheep won't care about my GPA ( Read more... )

The fleece has been discarded. Based on the comments from spinningfiber, I think it was lice, which angora goats are prone to having and are not contageous because they are species specific. Since the fleece was 1) full of VM 2) primarily second cuts 3) infested 4) free - I pitched it in the trasho. One of the very "helpful" persons on the list ( Read more... )
