target has lots of pj pants! not sure how close you live to one.. but there's a clearance rack in the intimate apparel section that you can usually find sweatpants and stuff for less than $10 each. i was there last night! good luck :)

How ironic that we are both having surgery dreams! I had weird feelings in my stomach too...
I don't know how close you are to Goodwill or Salvation Army but that is where I've been getting the majority of my clothes. I've started stocking up on loose dresses and PJ pants too. I'm so completely terrified and overwhelmed by everything I need to do....AND I have almost 3 months!

Are you paying oop for this or is your insurance covering any of it?
I know, based on where I am, that in another 50 lbs (end/final goal) I am going to need to/want to do the same thing.

When did you decide this is what you wanted/needed to do?

Insurance won't cover it. I would have had to have untreatable infections under the skin for them to cover it. My surgeon gave me a 50% discount due to me being a student at the med school. Depending on where you are, $6-10K is normal to pay.

I decided maybe 2-3 years ago... I saw the skin, I didn't like it, and I decided that scars rather than skin was how I was going to be.

My 'gift' to myself is going to be the same thing with this in mind.

Get to within 10 lbs. of goal and stay there for a year using good habits.

Then have at least the abdominoplasty done. I can live with my arms/thighs/other parts (I think).

So I imagine that by my 42nd b'day (3 years from now) I'll be where you are now.
