wait... which one is this? the 70-200 i've used doesn't have the monopod attachment thing... this looks like the 100-400 but with a different zoom mechanism... which is it!? i'm on pins and needles! heheheh i'm such a gear head... w/o having any!

I think the attachment comes off. Most photographers don't use it. There are two 70-200's. This one is the more expensive - the 2.8 IS. Very necessary for ceremony photography. :-)
