So yeah.. i go from church about and hour ago and now im on the computer. again. um yeah.. so i waited outside in the wet snow that decided to fall last evening, which has just stopped. so yeah i got picked up at the end of my driveway and drove to sunday school... in the morning we learned about temptation, and why satan is so succesful and ( Read more... )

Well being raised in a Christian home all my life I grew up believing that (minus the dying hair thing, why its different I don't know) but being at bible school totally changed that perspective. It is more of an "I'm too scared of needles" thing now, and the fact that I don't know what I would get that I would never regret. Yah anyway, I totally understand where they, and you, are coming from. But yes, I don't think they are wrong, unless you do them out of rebellion and live to regret it, then I don't think the right motives were there. Hmmm I am done. Be blessed!

lol well in the same part that it says not to get a tattoo (which is only wrong if you do it for the dead) it also says youre not aloud to cut your hair and what not..

yah I know...so I don't understand why churches picked apart the tattoo part but pushed aside the hair part. Doesn't make sense to me. Anyway, how was your day?

in leviticus....it says not to cut urself for the dead...and not tattoo yourself. it doesn't say do't tattoo urself for the dead. but..the reaosn it says not to tatto urself is because it was cultural for men to tattoo women on there arms and on there chest as a sign of commitment...kinda like a promise ring. the men of war usually did this for when they went off to fight...it was a reminder of the ones the loved. i song of solomen it says "set me as a seal on your heart, as a seal on your arm..." this is talking about love as a symbol..a tattoo ( ... )

wow ben thanx... i think i messed that up... but yeah... i dunno... i think lawrence is kinda old style... as for the tattoo as a promise ring i didnt know that... very interesting
