I love it all! Definitely good choices all in all, though sadly I haven't heard of some of them. :\ The Keane hatred confuses me as well... I noticed it reading some blogs and I wonder if maybe Keane is a little scapegoat for all of the Coldplay (& others similar) backlash. Mountain Goats have grown on me as well though I agree that John Darnielle's voice can be just too much but the imagery is fantastic. Of this set of albums I have only listened to those two so... I'm sorry! I should check out Dolly, I do love her. :D

I'm definitely still digesting the Portishead album too...I just feel like something is missing on it!!! I usually end up going back to the older albums because of the familiarity. I should give it more chances though. I should listen to more of Estelle... and more of these albums! Haha I feel like I was very musically illiterate in 2008, or something.
