Day off

Sep 26, 2007 16:43

I am taking a day or two off due to illness.  I vowed that I would make progress every day except in the case of extreme illness.  I don't know if a hot-weather cold is extreme, but I feel kicked in the head.  Everyone else in the house has it or had it so at least I am in good company.  I will spare you the detailed description because we all know ( Read more... )

That Piano was heavy too. It took 4 guys to move it in. Well, we got a lot done and we should be taking some after pics soon. Still not up to Martha Stewart standards but you will see a little improvement.

I don't blame you for taking a few days off to nurse the cold. Greg and Xander have it right now, which sucks for everyone because Greg's still working insane amounts of hours and Xander's version of the cold is a runny nose and excessive crankiness. I've thus far escaped it, oddly enough, despite the fact thaty Xander's spit is all over pretty much every part of me, lol.

Are you drinking the green tea for medicinal or antioxidant effects? I don't think I could make myself drink green tea- I've tasted all three varieties that we carry at work and I hate all of them. Green tea just tastes like grass to me. Bleah.

I'm looking forward to seeing your photos of the next area of the house!

I hate all kinds of tea. I drink it only because it is supposed to improve immune function (and normally I don't get these killer colds!) and protect from various diseases, etc. I guess it's my very tiny masochistic streak that prompts me to chug one mug of the stuff every day, and I mean I have to throw it down the hatch and shake my head so I don't gag it back up. Like medicine, in other words. No sweetener - it already tastes awful (like grass, like you said) so why make it into sweet-awful ( ... )

See, I will only drink regular tea (black or white) with sugar and cream, like the English, or herbal tea if I am in a particular mood for that flavor. I've never yet encountered a situation that would make me drink green tea. I tasted it at work, because I had to, but I've never in my personal life just decided to drink green tea. I do tend to deviate from my usual tea habits when I'm ill and need to preserve my voice; during shows I have been known to suck down enormous amounts of herbal tea with liberal amounts of honey and lemon. (in high school, I actually ATE lemons with the Sound Of Music cast, can you imagine?) I think if I was medicinally dosing myself with green tea, I'd be tempted to brew it double strtength so I could drink it in shot glasses. It might be college coming back to haunt me, but whenever I have a noxious substance I have to make myself ingest, it's easier if I drink it out of a shot glass. (nothing's grosser than Jagermiester, I swear ( ... )

I forgot to say that green tea actually makes me feel sick (especially if on an empty stomach, and never take it with a vitamin. Once I drank a DOUBLE green tea, ate oreos, and went outside to exercise - don't ever do that ( ... )
