Did you just create an account to make a single post in a dead community?

It's not really. It's Livejournal in general that's dead. (except for ONTD)

You didn't specify which area of the country you live in, but I recommend finding out which local temp agencies (if there are any in your town) staff larger companies (advertising, design, web etc.) and interview with them to help you get placed into a temp to hire gig. That's how it works where I am but my city is huge so ymmv.

I would definitely talk to a temp agency - just be careful that it's a legit one. If they demand money up front or some crap, run away.

If your town is too small, it may really not have enough of a graphic design demand to support any more designers than it already has, so you may need to talk to an agency in the nearest large-ish town, or one in a large city that you have some kind of support system in (family member or friends who could put you up for a while).

What are some legit one you know off? I have encountered some that charge the company a substantial amount for hiring me. I find it immediately causes trouble with office politics.

Thanks for your response. I have sent out over 1000 emails to temp agencies across the country. I tried workforce, robert half and kelly services. I am in touch with Acquent too. Do you know of a good temp agency that I can contact? I feel like I am missing something in my search.

I have been unemployed for over 5 months and I lose my job over the silliest things. I have noticed that there are no more Creative Directors at the firms and I cannot get proper training for my job. Therefore, I am only let go a couple of months later because I was not able to perform or live up to the business owner's expectations. I am not sure how I can adjust more easily at work as I already changed so much in my lifestyle to remain flexible in the market.
