The Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy - Douglas Adams (I've read like 40 pages of the first one... heh.)

There's more than one? Ack.... I always thought it was just one. Oh, well, more things to do in the summer, I guess!

I've never even heard of The Kite Runner, but I trust your judgement. I'll definitely add that to my list.

Pride and Prejudice is easily one of my favorite books. It's the best I've ever read in school, and it's probably second to Harry Potter. The Keira Knightley version wasn't very accurate (though I did like that), and the book is actually 5 billion times better, I think. :)

ooh, excellent! Pride and Prejudice sounds like a good add then.

the Kite Runner definitely is excellent, although I should give you a heads up there is definitely some dark subject matter involved. It goes back and forth between taking place in Afghanistan and America as the main character looks back, but it is really one of the best books I've ever read.

As for The Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy.. yup. There may be like 4 or 5? or maybe only 3... I'm not really positive. Although I know that you can get them all in one big book sorta like LotR. I think one of the others may be called The Restaurant at the End of the Universe, but I'm not really positive.
