I too enjoyed the Twilight movie...though i have to admit to having read all of the books as well...they are easy and enjoyable, exactly what i need when i want to read something directly the opposite of my law school text books. I agree with much of what you listed above...but i have one complaint to add, aside from Bella, Jacob, and a few other characters, i hated everyone's hair...it was like this weird unmovable helmet of hair. I know that they wanted to make the vampires look otherworldly...but stiff unmovable hair is not what i would say is other worldly. It was absolutely ridiculous when they were playing base ball and they tried to wear baseball hats. The hair was so huge that they ended up looking as if they had these huge heads that they could barely fit the damn hat on. Well that is my rant for now...seriously, i hope in the next movie they fix the damn hair problem.
Oh wow I love the idea of you reading Twilight between law school books. That is so funny! Anyway, I watched it (most recently) with Jennifer W, and she had the exact opposite take on the hair! She thought the whole thing played like a Lorreal commercial, with fans blowing and highlights shining, and glossy tresses bouncing all over the place. Beautiful, but too beautiful. Except for poor Vamp Boy, who had a rigid Elivs do. I totally applaud the fact that he disobeyed his P.R. consultant and shaved it all off. What a cute little rebel. I love it!
Now I'll be watching that baseball scene again particularly for the huge-headedness. Thank you for that! ;-)
lol, i figured their hair would be over the top, but i always envisioned it more flowing and natural looking. Kind of like effortless beauty. Where as the way they did their hair made it obvious that they gelled and sprayed it half to hell. lol
