42 years ago yesterday, Bob Dylan played his first all-electric-guitar set (and his folkie fans were appalled, of course).

How many roads must a man walk down? 42!

Story my brother told me:

Newport Folk Festival, I forget what year, Dylan appeared on stage with an electric guitar, and was booed off the stage.

He returned with his old acoustic, sang one song: It's All Over Now, Baby Blue. He left. Didn't play Newport again.

I don't know if that's an accurate retelling or not.
