How very sad this is to hear, G. We always hope for the best as we watch a friend walk into what is a potentially damaging or dangerous situation. But when it goes wrong, rather than saying I told you so, all we can do is be there to help pick up the pieces.

I hope that your friend is going to be OK physically and emotionally, and that maybe this experience might be what it takes for her to understand that she wants to get out of the insanity and begin her healing process. I am sure that by watching you, and others who are working an honest, forthright program, she can get the help and health she needs.
